We are delighted to share more details about the Barratt Foundation grants programme.

Please note applications are currently closed and not expected to reopen before September 2024.

Through our grants, we are looking to support charities with an income of under £2m that align with the Barratt Foundation’s vision of helping communities throughout the UK to thrive, by focusing on children, young people and those most disadvantaged.

The Barratt Foundation’s Grants Committee meet twice a year to review applications. Applications are currently closed and not expected to reopen before September 2024.

How can I find out more?

Following the second round of the Foundation’s grants prgramme, we will be reviewing our guidance, eligibility, criteria and application process.

In the meantime the Guidance Notes for Applicants from our most recent round are available as an indication, but please note these are subject to change. The guidance notes include:

  • Who can apply
  • Our criteria
  • What we fund (and what we don’t)
  • How much you can apply for
  • How to apply
  • Key dates and timeframes

Are you a small local charity looking for funding?

Charities that operate in one local area only (a specific town or county) aren’t eligible for our Grants programme. Please fill out our Expression of Interest instead of submitting a full application. Expressions of interest will be passed onto your local Barratt office to be considered for a local Community Fund donation of £1,500.

Please note the Barratt Foundation has limited funds and receives many more applications than it is able to support. We promise to review every application carefully but please be aware that even if your charity is eligible to apply, this does not guarantee any funding. We hope this guidance is helpful  in helping you decided whether to apply and shaping a strong application.

Applied in Spring 2024?

Many thanks for applying, your application will be considered in May and we will be in touch with all applicants by the end of June.

Thank you for your patience. We are a small team and continue to receive a high volume of expressions of interest, queries and applications.
